Sudbury Fire Department Battles 2-Alarm Blaze

Sudbury FD and neighboring departments responded to a two-alarm fire Saturday afternoon.

Two people escaped unharmed after a two-alarm fire broke out in their home on Ruddock Road late Saturday afternoon, said Chief William Miles of the Sudbury Fire Department.

The fire broke out around 4:30 p.m. at 106 Ruddock Road, starting in the bathroom and spreading to the attic before crews were able to knock it down.

“Our crews were able to arrive quickly and stop this fire before it consumed the house, despite the fact that home was set far away from the road,” Chief Miles said. “It was a good all-around effort by our firefighters and the responding mutual aid communities.”
