Sudbury Friendly's Closes 'Without Warning'; Employees Transferred
Sudbury Friendly's employees were informed at 5 p.m. that the location would close that same day.

Sudbury Friendly’s employees received a call from headquarters at 5 p.m. on Sunday that their location would close permanently, at 6 p.m.
“There was no warning,” confirmed Manager Rodson Vernet.
Vernet said that the approximately 18 employees at the Sudbury location, including himself, will be transferred to the Milford Friendly’s.

“They needed a lot of help over there,” said Vernet. “We’re sad to leave here. I’ve only been here for four months but I got to know a lot of customers. This Friendly’s has been here for a long time.
A spokesperson for Friendly’s confirmed the closing, stating, “the restaurant will cease operations, effective immediately. Friendly’s in Sudbury values its guests and thanks them for their patronage.”
