Sudbury Lawyer Inducted Into MA Lawyers Hall Of Fame

SUDBURY, MA — A Sudbury resident and lawyer has been inducted into the "Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly" 2026 Hall of Fame.

Christopher Kenney, a lawyer at Bowditch, was recently honored by the publication, which recognizes prominent attorneys across Massachusetts who have practiced for at least 30 years and made significant contributions to state law, the law group announced on Tuesday.

Kenney joined Bowditch in January after the firm merged with Kenney & Sams, which he co-founded in 2006. His practice focuses on trial law, litigation and civil mediation services.

At Bowditch, Kenney advises companies, organizations and individuals on contracts and agreements, corporate and shareholder disputes, construction and development, employment law and product integrity and safety, according to the firm. He has tried cases in state and federal courts in several states.

“It’s no surprise that Chris has been honored in Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly’s Hall of Fame, a recognition which he truly deserves,” Michael Sams, litigation practice area co-leader at Bowditch, said in the announcement. “He is a dedicated leader and respected litigation expert at Bowditch and across the Commonwealth. Congratulations to Chris on this achievement.”

Kenney’s clients include local and national businesses in real estate, construction, healthcare and pharmaceuticals. He also represents public officials on election law and public policy matters.

“I am honored to be part of Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly’s Hall of Fame alongside many talented attorneys across the state,” Kenney said in the release. “Having practiced law for over three decades, I have built a strong network of client and colleague relationships that have enriched my practice as a litigation attorney.”

In 1999, the Massachusetts Attorney General appointed Kenney to a six-year term as a special assistant attorney general representing the state in construction defect claims, constitutional law and eminent domain matters.

Kenney also formerly served as president of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Massachusetts chapter of the Federal Bar Association. He is currently vice president of the Massachusetts chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
