Sudbury Man Killed By Teen Driver In Acton: DA

The 44-year-old Sudbury pedestrian was hit Thursday night along Route 2A in Acton.

SUDBURY, MA — Acton police are investigating a fatal crash involving a Sudbury man that happened Thursday evening along Great Road, also known as Route 2A.

According to the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office, Kevin Shaw, 44, was hit by a 17-year-old operating a Subaru station wagon near Brook Street and the Donelan's Supermarket plaza. The DA's office said Shaw was a pedestrian, but did not say why he was out along Great Road.

Shaw was initially taken to the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, but later died. The teen driver remained at the scene.

"This is an ongoing investigation being conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and Acton police. The crash reconstruction will be conducted by the Massachusetts Crash Analysis and Reconstruction Section. No charges have been filed at this time," the district attorney's office said in a Friday news release.
