Sudbury Man Raising $12,000 to Continue as Pro Golfer

SUDBURY, MA—A few years ago, during what he describes as a "quarter life crisis," Peter Ruymann, after prompting from his dad, decided to abandon the life he had known and follow his dream of becoming a professional golfer.

He writes that it's the best decision he's ever made, but has suffered some setbacks, including needing emergency surgery last winter. Ruymann writes that he rebounded, and is looking to get his PGA card as the "next big step in his playing career."

Ruymann, who is from Sudbury, has raised about $1,000 of his $12,500 goal.
