Sudbury Opens Small Grant Applications For Home Repairs
Sudbury homeowners can apply for grants to help pay for certain home repairs and safety-related improvements.
SUDBURY, MA — Sudbury homeowners can apply for grants to help pay for certain home repairs and safety-related improvements.
The Sudbury Housing Trust is accepting applications for its Small Grants Program, which offers up to $6,000 for repairs or alterations needed for health and safety reasons, according to the town.
Eligible work may include minor plumbing, electrical work, window repairs, gutter or downspout repairs, door repairs, step or porch repairs, masonry work, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, weather stripping, bathroom grab bars, railings and other adaptive projects.

Applicants must own property in Sudbury, plan to own the property for the next 12 months, meet income limits and have a home assessment below the town median.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and may be funded on a first-come, first-served basis. The Housing Trust said applications will be evaluated and prioritized based on health and safety needs, financial need, deferred maintenance, emergencies and first-time applicants.

Applicants must submit a completed application, contractor estimates, recent tax returns and other supporting documents.
