Sudbury Police Arrest Boxborough Man for Breaking and Entering

Police arrested a man for breaking into a home on Maynard Road.

Police have arrested a Boxborough man caught breaking into a home on Maynard Street, said police.

Andrew Molander, 26, of Boxborough, was charged with aggravated breaking and entering placing a person in fear and wanton destruction of property, which are two felonies.

On Thursday at about 4:30 p.m., police received a 911 call for a breaking and entering in progress at a home on Maynard Road. The caller provided a description of the subject as a white male on a bicycle.

An officer had seen a man a short time earlier that fit the description. Officers who were already patrolling the area were able to find and detain Molander within minutes of the call, said police.

One of the witnesses positively identified Molander as being at the home on Maynard Street.

“I commend the residents for their poise while reporting the circumstances immediately and the quick response of the Sudbury Officers,” Chief Scott Nix said. “I am grateful no one was harmed during this incident.”

Molander also had an arrest warrant out of Ayer District Court for Larceny and Intimidating a Witness. He was transported to the Sudbury Police Department for booking.

No one was hurt.
