Sudbury Police Assist Investigation of 'N-Bomb,' Synthetic LSD

Sudbury police assisted in the investigation of an Acton teenager who admitted to dealing “N-Bomb,” a synthetic form of LSD, to another teenager who overdosed.

Mikayla Brogna, 19, of Acton, said she sold 14 tabs of 25B-NBOMe (NBOMe) to a 16-year-old boy for $100. The boy suffered s non-fatal overdose, according to U.S. Attorney Carmen Ortiz.

Brogna pleaded guilty Friday in federal court.

“NBOMe is a psychedelic drug that can be similar in appearance to LSD and can take many forms, including pills, powder, liquid drops, and colorful paper blotter tabs,” Ortiz said in a statement. “NBOMe is a synthetic hallucinogen that is growing in popularity among young people who are unaware of its potentially lethal effects, even in small doses. Across the country, numerous deaths have been linked to NBOMe.”

Brogna is scheduled to be sentenced in August. She faces a maximum of 20 years in prison, though offenders like her as typically sentenced to significantly less time, according to Ortiz.

Police from Acton, Concord, Lincoln, Sudbury, and Westford were involved in the investigation of Brogna.
