Sudbury Proposes $94.3 Million Town Budget: Warrant Articles
The budget proposal for FY2018 marks a 3.27 percent increase.

SUDBURY, MA—Voters head to Town Meeting this on Monday, May 1, at 7:30 p.m. at Lincoln- Sudbury Regional High School to approve, or not, some 36 articles, including the overall town budget.
Article 3 is the FY2018 overall town budget, its proposed total at $94,397,705, marking a 3.7 percent increase over the previous fiscal year. This year the town is also considering an override budget of $95,474,795.
"The proposed balanced budget bridges a significant gap from the Finance Committee Guidance Budget and eliminates the need for layoffs and service cuts in the town and decreases the need for layoffs and service cuts in the school,"reads the report from the Finance Committee.

The budget marks a 2.25 percent increase for the Sudbury public schools, 2.25 percent increase for Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School and 2.27 percent increase in the capital budget.
