Sudbury resident to appear in ‘Stage Kiss’ @Boston Center for the Arts

Sudbury – The Psych Drama Company will stage ‘Stage Kiss’ by Sarah Ruhl directed by Rani O’Brien at the Boston Center of the Arts Feb 13-23. One of 7 actors in the ensemble is a Sudbury resident. Art imitates Life. Life imitates Art. When two actors with a history are thrown together as romantic leads in a forgotten 1930s melodrama, they quickly lose touch with reality as the lines between offstage and onstage begin to blur. Julia Trueblood, who has lived in Sudbury with her husband and two young children since 2018, will play the dual roles of Millicent and Laurie. “This show requires a cast willing to really poke fun at themselves and the theater itself - and this cast is up for the challenge, this show is truly a lot of fun” says Trueblood. “It’s no coincidence that “Stage Kiss” is opening on the eve of Valentine’s Day”, said Lippe, the company’s producing artistic director — who is also a cast member in the latest production. “It asks important questions about the nature of love and loving, and it helps us to be curious about the love relationships we choose and why we choose them; that we make different choices for love relationships at different stages in our lives,” she said.
