Sudbury resident Andrea Zeytoonian will lace up and join more than 100 members of Team PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) to walk in the Boston Heart Walk. She will be among the 10,000 walkers expected to participate with the collective goal of raising $1.8 million for the American Heart Association (AHA).

This is the 10th year that PwC has rallied together to form a team of walkers. Since 2002, PwC has raised more than $300,000 to support the AHA’s mission of preventing, treating and defeating heart disease, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases.

“Cardiovascular diseases are the number one killer in the U.S. and many of our staff members, including myself, have a personal connection to the American Heart Association and its powerful mission,” says Santa Sasena, Partner at PwC. “PwC is proud to support and participate in this year’s Boston Heart Walk - this is just one of the many ways we empower our people to connect their personal passions with their professional lives.”

The noncompetitive event gives participants the option to walk one, 2 or 6 miles leaving from the DCR Hatch Shell on the Charles River Esplanade. The opening ceremonies for the Boston Heart Walk will kick-off at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15.
