Sudbury residents graduate from The Rivers School in Weston

Three Sudbury residents were among 93 students to graduate from The Rivers School in Weston on Friday, June 10.

WESTON, MA—Three Sudbury residents were among 93 students to graduate from The Rivers School in Weston on Friday, June 10.

Ross C. Carter was elected to the Cum Laude Society and was awarded the Mathematics Prize and the Science Prize at Prize Day on June 9. A high honors student, he held a summer internship through Rivers at Bruker Daltonics lab, helping to test their forensic toxicology software. As an underclassman, he received the Williams College Book Award and the Kenneth F. Benjamin Citizenship Award, and received an Honorable Mention in the 2016 Scholastic Arts competition in ceramics. A valued member of the basketball team, he also received the 2015 Strength and Conditioning Award. The son of Charles and Kara Carter, Ross will attend the California Institute of Technology in the fall.

Claudia K. Gormley was an honor roll student and talented artist, whose ceramics work was awarded third place at the 2015 Small Independent School Art League competition. She played tennis and ice hockey for three years, and managed the tennis team as a senior. The daughter of David and Lisa Gormley, Claudia will attend University of Colorado at Boulder in the fall.

Kendall J. Trovato was a four-year member of the varsity girls’ basketball team and a three-year member of both the varsity girls’ soccer and tennis teams. A high honors student, Kendall was elected to the Cum Laude Society at Prize Day and received the Senior Award for Exceptional Dedication to Athletics as a three-season varsity athlete. Kendall was a Middle School French tutor and Upper School English teaching assistant. She was one of the editors of the school yearbook, The Nonesuch, and was a Red Key tour guide. The daughter of Robin Trovato and the late Richard Trovato, Kendall will attend Boston College in the fall.
