Sudbury’s Latest School Enrollment Numbers, By Grade And School

SUDBURY, MA — New enrollment figures show how students are distributed across Sudbury’s elementary and middle schools for the 2026-27 school year.

Sudbury Public Schools reported 2,409 students across four elementary schools and Ephraim Curtis Middle School, according to figures released Friday. That is 64 fewer students than the 2,473 listed in the district’s 2025-26 enrollment report.

Curtis has 834 students this year, compared with 865 last year. Noyes Elementary School has 446 students, compared with 468, while Nixon Elementary School has 323, compared with 335.

Haynes Elementary School has 376 students, one more than last year. Loring Elementary School has 430 students, the same total reported for 2025-26.

The district lists 218 kindergarten students, 41 fewer than last year’s total. Sixth grade has 248 students, 67 fewer than the previous year’s sixth-grade class.

Other grades have higher totals than their counterparts last year. Seventh grade has 316 students, 38 more than the previous seventh-grade class, while fifth grade has 271 students, 26 more than last year’s fifth-grade total.

The number of classroom sections increased from 120 to 121. Districtwide average class sizes range from 17 students in kindergarten to 23 students in seventh grade, according to the report.

The enrollment total excludes preschool students and Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School.
