Sudbury Schools Start Date

Here's when Sudbury schools welcome back students, and some other helpful back-to-school tips for parents.

SUDBURY, MA—Parents, you've almost survived the summer.

Students are due back in Sudbury schools on Wednesday, Aug. 31, across all grades, including Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School. The return is immediately followed by another break, with no school Friday, Sept. 2, or Monday, Sept. 5 (Labor Day).

The school year calendar and other information for the return to Lincoln-Sudbury High can be found here (but was not available at press time). Important dates for Sudbury parents with students in grades Pre-K through 8, including orientation dates and open houses, can be found here.

Gone are the days of Labor Day marking the start of the school season. Tell the kids not to complain - many schools across the country start before the end of August, and some even in July, according to CNN. And parents, no complaining from you either - some schools don't welcome back students until well into September.
