Sudbury Seniors Sought For Volunteer Services
The senior center is reminding residents about services and volunteer opportunities serving local residents.

SUDBURY, MA — The Subdury Senior Center is reminding local residents about several useful volunteer programs that help elderly residents access groceries, companionship and more. The senior center is also looking for local residents who want to volunteer for the programs.

The Sudbury Senior Center is seeking seniors that could benefit from being participants/recipients of our volunteer services/programs:

Phone Buddies: A weekly phone call (lasting 15-30 minutes) by a volunteer to their matched senior to help with isolation.
Friendly Visitor: Outdoor, in-person weekly visits between a volunteer and his/her matched senior on a deck, porch or lawn (only if safe for the senior to walk independently), otherwise the “visits” are by phone.

Grocery Shopping: Volunteers do weekly grocery shopping for home bound seniors. The senior does not accompany the volunteer to the supermarket.
Goodnow To Go: Volunteers deliver library materials to Sudbury residents unable to get to Goodnow Library on their own due to a temporary or chronic condition. Drop-off of library materials is at the client’s front door. Library materials are also returned by the volunteer.
