Monday Morning Fire Forces Sudbury Family Out of Boston Post Road Home

The following information was supplied by the Sudbury Police and Fire departments. Where arrests are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

A Sudbury family of three is looking for a place to live after a chimney fire early Monday morning forced them out.

According to Sudbury Fire Chief Bill Miles, the call came into the station at about 1:28 a.m.

"Our preliminary investigation showed it started in the fireplace," Mile said. "It's a centered, chimney-style home with living space all around it."

Miles said the first engine to arrive was able to knock down the fire and keep the damage confined adjacent to the chimney.

All three members of the family made it out of the single-family home unharmed, and no firefighters were injured fighting the blaze.
