I am happy to announce my support of Kevin Matthews, a candidate for re-election for the Lincoln-Sudbury School Committee. I have known Kevin for many years and regard him as a major contributor to the School Committee, but also to the town of Sudbury itself. I am very pleased that he is running for re-election, and I urge folks to support him as well.

Kevin brings a reasonableness needed in difficult times and his many years on the School Committee adds an institutional knowledge the School Committee dearly needs. With Kevin on the committee, L-S has become more fiscally responsible. I believe Kevin and his role on L-S School Committee has been a large influence, along with others who have been on the Finance Committee and the BOS, in holding down the runaway spending Sudbury has experienced in the not-so-distant past.

I believe having Kevin on the School Committee has influenced a safer environment for our children. Our family is pleased that L-S has such a solid relationship with the Sudbury Police Department. Officer Walch, the L-S Safety Resource Officer, provides a higher level of comfort for our children at L-S which we are very grateful for. This development I would attribute to Kevin’s leadership on the committee.

As our town recovers from the effects of the pandemic, it is Kevin Matthews, that I hope to see leading the committee.
