Suspicious Package 'Actively Investigated' In Maynard

MAYNARD, MA — Police are investigating a suspicious package found in a Maynard neighborhood, officials said.

Just before 10 a.m., officials responded to 7 Demars St. after a homeowner called 911 reporting a suspicious package on his front porch. Maynard police requested the assistance of the Bomb Squad.

The Bomb Squad rendered the device safe. The incident is being investigated by the Maynard Police and State Police assigned to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
