Take A Stroll At Horse Meadows Knoll

Take a stroll with the Sudbury Valley Trustees.

SUDBURY, MA—Sudbury Valley Trustees (SVT) and Harvard Conservation Trust (HCT) have embarked on a joint venture to preserve 45 ecologically important in Harvard.

HCT took ownership of the land this spring and will be removing an abandoned house on the property and marking recreation trails for a new public new conservation area, said a recent announcement.

Join SVT’s Executive Director Lisa Vernegaard for a walking tour of the land on Thursday, Aug. 10 at 5:45 p.m. and learn more about what makes it special.

The Horse Meadows Knoll property boasts a beautiful beech forest, a historic reservoir, and wetlands, and it is home to several endangered species.

Meet for the “Stroll at Horse Meadows Knoll” at 5:45 pm along Sherry Road (at approximately 45 Sherry Road) and the walk will begin promptly at 6:00 pm. This area is not yet open to the public so join for an insider’s look.
