Person Injured After Driver Hits Sudbury Building

A driver in a Tesla rammed through a commercial building Thursday morning, injuring a person inside, according to the Sudbury fire chief.

SUDBURY, MA — A driver in a Tesla drove into a Concord Road commercial building Thursday morning, leaving a person inside with minor injuries, according to the Sudbury Fire Department.

The incident happened around 9:15 a.m. at 17 Concord Road, which is between the Goodnow Library and Route 20. A driver and a passenger were inside the car when it broke through the building's wall, but they were not injured.

A person inside the building was treated for minor, non-life threatening injuries. The two people were briefly trapped in the Tesla due to falling debris.

Police did not immediately know what caused the driver to accelerate into the building.
