Wayside Inn Tabbed as Having Best Brunch for Moms

and ... you can't go wrong no matter which place you choose to dine at.

This week, we wanted to know where you think you should take mom if you wanted to surprise her with midday brunch.

And with 53 percent of the vote, Sudburians chose the Wayside Inn.

Longfellow's Wayside Inn, a historic Sudbury-based lodge and restaurant established in 1716, started as an extension to David Howe's family home. Later in 1923, Henry Ford took over the inn and led the property to grow as a living museum of American history, inside a warm and hospitable setting.

The inn offers brunch on Sundays, except on Easter and Mothers' Day. On Mothers' Day the inn offers a daylong dinner menu.

Innkeeper John Cowden, Jr., was out of the office on Friday and could not be reached for comment.
