Why Go: This open house will feature a tribute to employees, elected officials, teachers, and volunteers for town committees who died in 2011-2012. In addition, a special tribute for veterans will be on display.

When/Where: Monday from 7:30 a.m.-10 a.m. at St. Zepherin's Parish, 99 Main St, Wayland.

Why Go: This annual breakfast not only supports a good cause, it means you don't have to cook breakfast during everyone's day home from school and work.

When/Where: Monday at noon on the Weston Town Green, 400 Boston Post Rd, Weston.

Why Go: The Continentals will put on a show while the audience enjoys picnics lunches and dances on the green.

"Filigree and Finery," Concert by German Youth Orchestra

When/Where: Saturday at 5 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 472 Massachusetts Ave, Acton.

Why Go: The Würzburg Youth Orchestra will present its first stateside concert in Acton. These talented students will be performing a variety of pieces included some by Peter Tchaikovsky and George Frideric Handel, among others.

Price: Free; donations are welcome and appreciated.
