Dr. Woodie Flowers, emeritus professor of Mechanical Engineering at MIT and National Advisor to the FIRST Robotics Competition, continues the conversation at the Discovery Museums’ sixth and final speaker series event of the year.
Flowers presents “What is the Future of Education?: Education vs. Training” on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 6:30 p.m. at the Goodnow Library in Sudbury.

He’ll examine the difference between education and training and answer, “How can we foster the things that make us uniquely human?“ He will discuss the need to rebalance education and focus on the types of learning that will prepare young people for success in the future.
