Thanksgiving Day is almost here. It’s also the start of the holiday season.
This year, like last year, we only have 28 days between Thanksgiving and Christmas so you’ll have to cram in your shopping in a four-week period.
Thanksgiving will be observed on Thursday, Nov. 26 this year. Below we have a list of early Wednesday closings, what’s open (and closed) on the Thanksgiving holiday, as well as town offices that are also closed on Friday, Nov. 27:

Wednesday, Nov. 25:
- Goodnow Library closes at 5 p.m.
- Sudbury town offices close at noon
- DPW and Conservation close at noon
- Atkinson Pool closes at 7 p.m.
- Senior Center and Parks and Recreation regular hours
Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 26:
- Retail stores: Closed.
- Supermarkets, liquor stores: Closed.
- Convenience stores: Open at owner’s discretion.
- Gyms: Closed or reduced hours.
- Bars and restaurants: Open at owner’s discretion.
- Stock market: Closed.
- Municipal, state, federal offices and banks: Closed.
- Libraries and schools: Closed.
- Post office: Closed.
- Senior Center: closed
Friday, Nov. 27:
- Sudbury Town Hall: and Flynn Building: Closed
- Senior Center: Open
