Whole Foods in Wayland Moving to Sudbury

The new store will be bigger, and employ more people.

Whole Foods Market has announced on Friday that the store newly being developed in Sudbury will serve as a relocation of the current Whole Foods Market store in Wayland.

Whole Foods Market Sudbury will be located in the new Meadow Walk Sudbury development at 528 Boston Post Road in Sudbury. The new store will be approximately 40,000 square feet and employ around 225 locally hired, full and part time team members, said the announcement.

The existing Wayland location located at 317 Boston Post Road is approximately 19,200 square feet and employs approximately 125 team members, all of whom have employment opportunities in the Sudbury store.

“We have loved our little store in Wayland for many years,” said Laura Derba, president of Whole Foods Market’s North Atlantic region. “This is a wonderful opportunity for us to continue to serve our customers and also offer a much more expansive shopping experience just a short drive down the road.”

No dates are currently available for the closing of the Wayland location or the opening of the new Sudbury location.
