Lynn Man Killed in Police Shooting: DA
An adult male was killed in an officer-involved shooting in Lynn Monday morning, according to the Essex County District Attorney's Office.

LYNN, MA — A Lynn man was killed in a police-involved shooting in Lynn Monday morning, according to the Essex County District Attorney's office.
The DA's office indicated that a 57-year-old white male resident of Lynn Shore Drive in Lynn, who was a suspect in an armed robbery, was killed during the shooting. Lynn Police attempted to serve a search warrant at the male's apartment in connection with a Sept. 26 armed robbery.
A witness inside the apartment stated that the suspect was pointing a gun at the door when officers arrived and announced themselves at the apartment, according to the DA's office. When officers made a forced entry into the apartment, an officer saw the suspect pointing a gun at the officers, causing them to fall back.

The DA's office stated the suspect later ran into the hallway but was still pointing the gun at officers. Three officers then fired at the suspect, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators are working to determine how many shots were fired and how many shots hit the suspect. The suspect was not yet identified.
