2-Alarm Swampscott Fire Damages Elmwood Road Home
There were no reported injuries from the fire that lit up the neighborhood Sunday night.
SWAMPSCOTT, MA — A two-alarm fire caused extensive damage, but no apparent injuries, on Elmwood Road in Swampscott on Sunday.
The fire began on the outside of the home and spread to a detached garage before firefighters were able to get it under control.
Video from the fire showed fierce flames and smoke rising into the early winter night.

Swampscott Fire Fighters Union Local 1459 thanked Salem, Marblehead, Nahant, Lynn, Revere and Peabody fire crews for responding to the scene and helping provide station coverage as Swampscott firefighters battled the blaze.
"Strong work by Swampscott Fire's Group #4," the union said. "Temporary Captain Losano was in command at the 2-alarm fire on Elmwood Road."
