2 Killed, 4 Seriously Hurt in Route 495 Crash
Breaking: 2 killed, 4 seriously hurt in Route 495 crash in Essex County this morning.

MERRIMAC, MA — Two people were killed and four people were seriously hurt in a horrific crash on Route 495 in Merrimac Thursday morning. All six were in a van that crashed and rolled over several times at about 7 a.m., State Police said. One of the van's tires may have blown out and caused the crash, according to police.
All of the individuals are men; their identities were not immediately released Thursday.
The crash happened on the northbound side of the highway near Exit 53.
