Nick's Bio:

Nicholas Hartmann is 18 years old and has recently graduated as class salutatorian from .  He has studied piano for a total of 14 years, and has studied with Professor Dietrich at the Chopin Conservatory for the past ten.  Nicholas has given four solo concerts during his time at the Chopin Conservatory.  In January of 2011, Nicholas made his orchestra debut, performing Beethoven’s Third Piano Concerto with the Salem Philharmonic as the solo pianist.  In 2012, Nicholas premiered “Rhapsody on Armenian Themes” by modern composer Jeffery Brody with the Salem Philharmonic.  In addition to the piano, Nicholas has also played the clarinet for his school band for nine years, serving as the band president during the senior year.  While at Swampscott High School, Nicholas wrote two original arrangements for the concert band, both of which were played in concert.  Nicholas will attend Brown University in the fall.
