SWAMPSCOTT, MA — A Congressional candidate forum featuring the six Democrats looking to fill the seat of departing U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton is set for Swampscott High School on Thursday.
The forum will take place in advance of the Democratic State Convention, and is one of the few events at which all of the declared candidates are scheduled to appear.
The forum is set for Swampscott High at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
Scheduled participants are Dan Koh, Thomas Beccia, Jamie Belsito, Rachel Creemers, Mariah Lancaster, and Tram Nguyen.
Moulton Chief of Staff Rick Jakious, of Swampscott, recently announced he was dropping out of the race.
Moulton announced this year that he would not seek another term in the House of Representatives and, instead, challenging sitting U.S. Sen. Ed Markey for his U.S. Senate seat in the Democratic primary.
Doors will open at 6:30 pm so that attendees and candidates can engage with one another prior to the Forum starting at 7.
The forum will end at 9 p.m.
Attendees and candidates will then be able to continue to engage for 30 minutes after the conclusion of the forum.
The event is sponsored by the Democratic Town Committees of Nahant, Swampscott and Marblehead.
"One of these folks will be our representative in Congress," Moderator and Attorney James Peterson, of Salem, said. "They should see and hear from us. And they will.:
Peterson, who lives in Swampscott, urged the public to send proposed questions to him at TriTownDebate2026@gmail.com.
He asked that the questions he will ask will be "unrepetitive, tough and pointed."
The forum is set to be streamed here.
