• Following CTE report, Massachusetts high school football coaches address safety concerns in a violent sport (bostonglobe.com) — Massachusetts high school football coaches are tightening practice contact and exploring gear like Guardian caps after a new study linked CTE to many former NFL players. Swampscott is mentioned among schools using the soft helmet covers in scrimmages, as coaches and medical experts push for better concussion monitoring and full-time athletic trainers in every public high school.
