• Town Installs Two EV Chargers at Blocksidge Field (swampscotttides.org) — Swampscott drivers now have two new EV charging stations at Blocksidge Field, bringing the townwide total to 14 public chargers across schools and Town Hall. The town details pricing, plug types, and funding, and officials say they're already evaluating more locations and grants to expand charging access further for local residents.
   

• North Shore DAV Officer Honored With Gomes Service Award (patch.com) — A Swampscott-based veterans' leader has been honored with Congressman Seth Moulton's 2026 Peter J. Gomes Service Award for her work with the Lynn-Swampscott Disabled American Veterans Chapter. Brigadier General Andrea Gayle-Bennett was recognized for connecting local disabled veterans with housing, food, and support networks, and for strengthening outreach programs that improve daily life for veterans across the North Shore.
