Anita Shreve Debuts New Book The Stars are Fire at Swampscott Public Library April 19

Event is Part of Year-long Celebration of Swampscott Library's Centennial

Author Anita Shreve will debut her new book The Stars Are Fire at the Swampscott Library at 61 Burrill Street in Swampscott on Wednesday, April 19 at 7 pm. From the New York Times best-selling author of The Weight of Water and The Pilot's Wife (an Oprah's Book Club selection): The Stars Are Fire is an exquisitely suspenseful new novel about an extraordinary young woman tested by a catastrophic event and its devastating aftermath--based on the true story of the largest fire in Maine's history. Shreve is the author of seventeen novels including The Pilot's Wife, The Last Time They Met, and Rescue. Her new novel, The Stars Are Fire, goes on sale April 18

The Centennial Celebration continues on April 24 with A Night at the Tides followed by Lee Golomb Cadiff Poetry Contest on April 27, Secret Garden Plant Sale on May 20, Olmsted Walk and Tea on June 10, Birthday Party on September 23 and Beach Painters on October 14.
