Fashion Star

The new hit show on NBC, Fashion Star, has become my favorite show throughout the past few weeks.  The show airs on Tuesdays at 10 pm, displaying designers on the rise to fame who create a new piece for judges to critique each week.  The judges; Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie, and John Varvatos coach the up and coming designers throughout the week on the progress of their piece and give them their opinion.  The designers display their designs in a fashion show before the judges and buyers from Macy's, Saks Fifth Avenue, and H&M can judge the pieces and buyers bid on the garments.  What you see is what you get, items that are bought by the buyers from these select retailers are available in stores the next day for customers to buy the pieces!  This is a great way to market the new designers and for the fans of the show to be able to buy their own piece from the designers.  Whoever does not spark the buyers interest and does not obtain an order from the buyers is then up for elimination, each week one designer is voted off the show.  This is a great show and I would recommend it for anyone who loves to shop and have the next big thing, enjoy!
