“Off the Shelf’
Books are continuing to fly off the shelf at the Swampscott library this summer. It has been a summer of constant activity. Adults and children have been flocking to
the library during these hot summer months for programs, reading material, dvds
and just a cool spot to sit and relax.
As well as checking out books during this time, we are collecting books
for our annual Friends of the Swampscott Library book sale. Don’t forget to
drop off your contributions to our sale. We are accepting books now but please
make sure that they are in good condition. We don’t accept any magazines, text
books or encyclopedias but other than those items we are more than grateful for
all contributions. The book sale will be on Friday, September 21st
from 5:30-8:30pm( Members of the Friends only), Saturday September 22nd from
10:00am to 1:30pm and Sunday, September 23rd from Noon to 4:00pm. On
Saturday, September 29thfrom 10:00 am to 21:00pm we will have a sale day during which all items will be half price.
