Oh, The Places Your Hand-Bound Book Will Go!

Make a hand-bound book at ArcWorks Community Art Center.

The first time I ever kept a journal was because I was supposed to. My school took a trip for three weeks and our assignment was to keep a thoughtful journal full of our experiences. I am so glad that exercise forced me to write down my memories; my travel journal ended up becoming my most treasured souvenir!

If you want to have a beautiful book in your back pocket for your next journey, I recommend signing up for Melissa Chao's travel journal workshop on Saturday, July 14 at ArcWorks Community Art Center in downtown Peabody.

Ages 16+ -- this course is open to book lover and crafty types of all skill levels. Some sharp instruments will be used.

ArcWorks Community Art Center is an inclusive art center, which means that we work to encourage members of our community of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to access and participate in the arts, to gain creative confidence and to challenge barriers through integration and innovation. We house an art gallery, gift shop and classroom space where we offer opportunities for all local artists and residents. We are proudly governed by the Northeast Arc, and offer programming to the people we serve along with the public.
