Steampunk @ Swampscott Library Teen Area

On Saturday, October 27^th 10:30am, two local Steampunk experts will introduce you to the wild world of Steampunk.  You’ve heard the word, but don’t know anything about Steampunk style.  This program will feature a talk by Bruce Rosenbaum on steampunk art and design.  Then artist Brian Dow will demonstrate techniques for putting together found-item forms using plastic, metal, wood, paper, etc.  He will also do a faux painting demo to simulate metal surfaces.  Attendees will not assemble forms themselves.  But bring your questions and enthusiasm!  Admission is free, and the program is open to 5th-12th graders.  The library is located at 61 Burrill Street, Swampscott, 781-596-8867.
