The Beach Painters
Come and learn about The Beach Painters! Artists who painted for 20 years before and after the turn of the century.
The Swampscott Historical Society will have its next meeting on October 18th at the Senior Center at the rear of the High School. Anita Balliro, who teaches art at the High School, will present a program on The Beach Painters. These local artists painted along the north shore for many years, until the development of Lynn Shore Drive. One of the paintings can be found at Swampscott Public Library, and others are in the homes of local residents. Ms. Balliro has presented programs on this topic, and is a local authority on The Beach Painters.
The program will start at 7:30pm. Refreshments will be served. Admission is free for members. All are welcome. A donation of $5.00 for non-members is requested.
