What's Old Is New

Trends from past decades are starting to resurface

As my fashion professor Ms. York always says, "What's old is new".

Trends from as early as the 1950's are becoming more and more popular this season, as featured in People Magazine's March Style Watch issue.

Floral skirts and stripes are beginning to resurface proving that certain trends never go out of style. Looks from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s are inspiring designers for upcoming seasons.

We are starting to see more of full midi skirts inspired by the 1950s, tight up-dos and round necklines from the 1960s, stripes and florals from the 1970s, and low v-necks with a belted waist look from the 1980s.

Shoes are even shadowing looks from these past decades. Hippie inspired, printed platforms and wedges are everywhere this season. Espadrilles, boat shoes, saddle shoes, oxfords, and more!

No matter how much time passes, trends from the past will never die so don't get rid of your favorite pieces whether they're currently in trend or not, you will definitely get to wear them again in the future!
