Broken Lights; Shoplifting Arrest: Swampscott Police

Tuesday, Feb. 16
At 8:35 a.m., the animal control officer responded to a report of an injured bird on Humphrey Street.
At 9:51 a.m., a ticket was issued to a motor vehicle parked in a crosswalk on Humphrey Terrace.

At 10:24 a.m., the fire department was notified of a smoke alarm, possibly caused by cooking, on Paradise Road.
At 3:35 p.m., a resident on Bates Road reported that there was a white Audi in front of her house with a person who was harassing her. The person was advised not to return.

At 4:36 p.m., police arrested Shanna Surrette, 38, of 39 Bacheller Street in Lynn and charged her with shoplifting and possession of a burglarious instrument and on a warrant.
At 6:31 p.m., there was a report of suspicious activity on Tip Top Road. A light on a house was broken after a neighbor complained about it.
