What: 2026 Swampscott Fish Tales: An Evening of Community Storytelling

Tickets are available now for this groundbreaking community event celebrating local storytelling and supporting independent journalism hosted by news anchor Kim Carrigan and featuring the band Boston’s bass player Fran Sheehan.. The evening showcases the rich tapestry of Swampscott's community through personal stories of transformation and resilience related to the theme “A Fish Out of Water”..

When: Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 7:00 PM

Where: Swampscott High School Auditorium, 200 Essex Street, Swampscott, MA 01907

Who:

- Kim Carrigan, news anchor, podcaster and Host

- Misha Trubnikov, multiple Moth storyteller and Emcee 

- Fran Sheehan, band Boston bass player

- Robert Jauron, lawyer, author and former Swampscott football player  

- Jo Ann Simons, CEO/President of Northeast Arc and key woman leader

- Claire Donnelly, artist and art therapist

- Anton Adresen, Official Magician of Salem  

- Naina Alves Varela, Swampscott High METCO graduate 

Why: This second annual fundraising event will support the Swampscott Tides, a free online independent news outlet dedicated to comprehensive local coverage. Each storyteller will share a personal 10-minute story around the theme "A Fish Out of Water."
