Nancy Schultz to Speak about the Glover Farmhouse at the Goldthwait Reservation August 23

The Goldthwait Reservation Glover talks continue August 23, 2026, (Sunday), at 4 p.m. The featured speaker is Nancy Schultz, Ph.D., who is leading the effort to preserve the Glover farmhouse. Nancy is highly regarded for her scholarly works in history and holds a Ph.D. in literature. As Chair of the Swampscott Historical Commission, Nancy has worked tirelessly to save the farmhouse from demolition. “We need to come together to ensure that the retirement of General John Glover, whose heroism during the American Revolution helped win the war, remains standing. Nearly 80% of the original framing of this c. 1740 building is intact and the farmhouse can be restored.”
Please come and hear about the history of General Glover, his home and the ongoing efforts to save this historical site. The program and parking are free and will be held at the Goldthwait Reservation. Light refreshments will be served. The event is sponsored by the Charles A.
