Concert Singers of Greater Lynn to hold final open rehearsal

The Concert Singers of Greater Lynn, a choral group on the North Shore, will be holding their last open rehearsal on Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 7:30-9:30 p.m. All are welcome to meet the director, Salem resident William C. Sano, and try out the music. No auditions are required.
This fall, the Concert Singers will be rehearsing for a new winter program called “Holiday Music with Brass,” which will feature the Occasional Brass Quintet from Boston. The program will include the “Christmas Cantata” by Boston composer Daniel Pinkham, a new rendition of “Gloria in Excelsis Deo” by Lynn composer Javier Marquez, Christmas carol parodies by P. D. Q. Bach and many other holiday pieces. The free concert will be performed in Swampscott on Friday night, Dec. 2 and in Lynn on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 4.

Rehearsals are held every Tuesday from 7:30-9:30 p.m. at the Unitarian-Universalist Church of Greater Lynn. Singers pay for membership dues and music. After Sept. 27, no new members will be admitted until January 2017 for the spring concert.
