  • 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Absentee ballots must be returned to the Office of the Town Clerk by 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Where do I vote?

  • Precincts 1 & 2. Swampscott Senior Center, 200 Rear Essex St.
  • Precincts 3 & 4. First Church, Congregational, Monument Ave.
  • Precincts 5 & 6. Swampscott Middle School, Forest Ave.

State law prohibits the display of political paraphernalia within 150 feet of the entrance to the polling location. Signs, stickers, and even lapel buttons are not permitted within this restricted zone. Political conversation, including a candidate greeting the voters and soliciting votes, is allowed within the restricted zone so long as there is no active interference or badgering, and no prohibited paraphernalia is displayed.

For what and whom am I voting?

  • There are a handful of contested town-wide races including those for positions on the Board of Selectmen, Board of Health and Planning Board. There are also contested races for Town Meeting members in precincts 2, 4, 5 and 6. Full specimen ballots are available on the Town of Swampscott website.
