If you’ve ever wondered whether you ought to spend more time reading and less time watching TV, the good folks at the brand new Spirit of ’76 Bookstore in Vinnin Square have a solution for you: This Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., you can bring your old TVs , computers, stereos, etc., down to 450 Paradise Road, pay an ethical recycling fee of less than $1 per pound, and get a gift certificate to the bookstore that you can use--on the spot--to stock up on reading material, or just jumpstart your holiday shopping.
They took over from Borders and they are local and independent--help them get started!
