2) Swampscott Scholars: Saint Anselm College senior Michael Phelan traveled to Europe with the college choir during his spring break to perform in churches in Europe. The group's musical tour included stops in Cannes and Avignon, France, Monaco, and Barcelona, Spain, where they performed five concerts and sang sections in one mass.

Accompanied by alumnus and assistant to the choir director, Robert Aldrich and choir director, Fr. Bede Camera, O.S.B, the 32 students completed the choir's fifth trip to Europe on March 4. 

3) Swampscott Athletics: Registration is open for Swampscott Nahant Babe Ruth Baseball, the new big diamond baseball program for 13-15 year old baseball players.  Online registration this year is conducted through Marblehead Youth Baseball.  The web address is http://www.active.com/baseball-league/marblehead-ma/myb-regular-season-2012
