Five Things You Need to Know Today: March 23

1) Newsbit of the Day: April 27th is the Swampscott High junior class prom. Tickets are $85 and may be purchased after school in room c205 with Mrs. Green, or during lunch (twice a week) with Mr. Kravitz.  Email Lisa Green (green@swampscott.k12.ma.us) with any questions.  Students need to pay their dues through junior year in order to be eligible to buy a prom ticket. 2) Swampscott Scholars:  Molly Spillane, daughter of Wendy and Sean Spillane of Swampscott, was named to the Dean's List for the fall 2011 semester at Saint Michael's College. Spillane is a sophomore history and elementary education major at the liberal arts, residential Catholic college located in Burlington, Vermont.

3) Swampscott Athletics: Registration is open for Swampscott Nahant Babe Ruth Baseball, the new big diamond baseball program for 13-15 year old baseball players.  Online registration this year is conducted through Marblehead Youth Baseball.  The web address ishttp://www.active.com/baseball-league/marblehead-ma/myb-regular-season-2012
