2) Swampscott Scholars: Molly Spillane, daughter of Wendy and Sean Spillane of Swampscott, was named to the Dean's List for the fall 2011 semester at Saint Michael's College. Spillane is a sophomore history and elementary education major at the liberal arts, residential Catholic college located in Burlington, Vermont.

3) Swampscott Athletics: Registration is open for Swampscott Nahant Babe Ruth Baseball, the new big diamond baseball program for 13-15 year old baseball players.
