Five Things You Need to Know Today: March 26

1) Newsbit of the Day:  The Swampscott and Nahant School Committees meet on Tuesday at 7 pm at Nahant Town Hall.  The main topic they are slated to talk about is how they might combine resources, in general, including special education transportation.

2) Swampscott Scholars:  Nathaniel James Hyman was named to the Dean's List for the fall 2011 semester at Washington University in St. Louis. Hyman is a graduate of Boston University Academy in Boston, and is enrolled in the university's College of Arts & Sciences.

3) Swampscott Athletics:  Senior Gino Cresta was selected to participate in the Massachusetts State Hockey Associates All-Star Classic game at the DCU center in Worcester, and selected as one of 20 players to represent Massachusetts at the CCM Minnesota High School Invitational tournament.

4) Weather Watch: Mostly sunny, with a high near 46. Breezy, with a northwest wind between 15 and 25 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
