Goodwill Thanks You, Swampscott!
Swampscott residents donated over 800,000 pounds in goods to Goodwill in 2016

Have you ever donated to Goodwill and wondered what happens to your donations? You aren’t alone – many people have asked this question.
When you donate to Goodwill, you create jobs. Program participants get on-the-job training in our retail enterprise, graduates from a broad array of training programs get access to interview attire free of charge, and local residents get jobs in The Goodwill Stores. Donations to Goodwill advance our mission of helping people with barriers to self-sufficiency to achieve independence and dignity through work. Last year, we served nearly 7,800 individuals in our job training, career services, and youth programs.
In 2016, Swampscott residents donated more than 800,000 pounds of goods to Goodwill, and we are very grateful. We hope you will continue to donate clothing and household goods at our attended donation center in the Stop & Shop Plaza at 450 Paradise Road, or at another donation center near you.
