Gunshots Reported Near Clarke School: Swampscott Police
Nearby schools were put in lockdown. Police said the intended target refused to cooperate.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Police are investigating a report of shots fired on Norfolk Ave. near the Clarke School that prompted a lockdown of area schools Thursday afternoon.
Police said three "pops or shots" were reported by residents in the area around 1 p.m. Officers could not find any damage, and no injuries were reported.
Police said the intended target, who is known to police, did not cooperate.

Area schools were put in lock down until the situation was deemed safe.
